The Nomadic Blogger x Tempt Me Accessories Review + Giveaway
It's just something about a girl from the D that's about her hustle. On this #WorkingWomanWednesday, I got the chance to talk with Tempt Me Accessories Owner, Tiffany Moore about her brand and her business.
I've known Tiffany since our days at Renaissance High School so this is a special post for me. Not only did she allow me to join her team as a Trending Muse but she hooked me up with a few products to review for you all.
Watch the video above for my thoughts on some of the great pieces from the Tempt Me Accessories line. Pay close attention to the description section; there are instructions for a Tempt Me giveaway. Plus, get 10% off your next Tempt Me purchase by using the code: TNB10! The code is available to all #TheNomadicBlogger readers until June 16th!
I hope you all enjoy the video and my Q and A with Tiffany!

Q: What made you want to be an entrepreneur?
A: I think wanting and doing something for myself. It's beautiful when you can say I have my own business that I'm interested in. Also, seeing people around me who were doing it. It was the mentality to say, "Hey if they can do it...I can too." It's nothing like owning your own. Plus, it's always an excuse for me to buy stuff I like.
Q: You could have started any kind of business. Why accessories?
A: My mom was the inspiration behind it. My mom loves jewelry plus she's a breast cancer survivor. So I kept brainstorming, "Hey what can you do?". I love jumpsuits, but I couldn't sew. So I went with the favorite item of someone who was close to me. So in order for it to cater to my lifestyle, it had to be a talking piece, bling, and catch somebody's eye.
Q: What makes your accessories stand out from the rest?
A: It's something that I haven't seen in the city. Most chokers are the cotton ones or the lace ones. I think I have something different that you wouldn't see your every day person wear. It's for that night where you wanna jazz up your wardrobe, you're hitting that runway or just going to Miami to hit the beach.
Q: How do you go about choosing pieces for your collection?
A: I started off with like 50. I had conference calls with about 6 of my closest friends. We all voted on what stays, what should go. Then based off that, that's what I chose. Some of the items like the rhinestone bras, I got inspired to do them from Instagram. So many celebrities were wearing them and I've heard so many people say, "I want that." So I said "Well, let's make that happen."
Q: What has been the reaction to your accessories thus far?
Most of the time, when I'm at vendor events, the first things I hear are "Wow this is really different!", "Where can I wear this to?" "I don't think I can pull it off!" "Oh this for Miami" or "I'm a plain girl, I can't do the bling!" Trust I know my accessories aren't for everybody, but if you want to bring sex appeal or catch somebody's eye....It's for you!
Q: Any advice for aspiring entrepreneurs?
RESEARCH RESEARCH RESEARCH! Don't be afraid to ask questions. Learn your target market, this is one thing that I just realized so I had to alter my whole approach. Get your name out there. Your business is only what time, energy, and money you put in it. All business is not good business. You have to assess these vendor events. When I first started off, I was doing vendor events every weekend. But then you start realizing these events turn into social events. Folks ain't coming to spend, they just socialize. Start off by using them to get your name out there but progress. Last but not least, don't give up. I have some days where I just wanna throw the towel in. But remember it takes time and patience. Set a goal and take steps to get there. If you don't accomplish that goal, assess it, and come up with a different approach or plan to get it the next time. Sales may not always be high but as long as you're striving, you'll eventually get there.
Q: Where do you see Tempt Me in 5 years?
I see Tempt Me Accessories eventually doing a whole accessory line; from sunglasses to hats, even belts. Males always ask what I have for them, so I do want to do a male line as well. I want to eventually venture into clothing. After realizing my actual target market, I'm focusing more towards photo shoots and fashion shows. So when the light hits that body, you shining. I want people all over the U.S. wearing my items. New York Fashion Week is a big goal of mine. Last but not least, just for everyone to know we are bringing sex appeal for everyone because everyone is a Trending Muse!
